Paul Brennan

Paul Brennan has been a merchant/director in the home improvement business for 28 years. 15 years were in merchandising and 8 years in retail sales. As Senior Director with Builders Square in San Antonio, Texas, Paul directed the Décor side of the business, including decorative bath, paint, kitchens and flooring. Following his time at Builders Square, Paul worked three years in sales with ICI Paints (Glidden) calling on various retailers, including Home Depot. Paul also was a senior merchant for “Dekor” in Atlanta in the décor division. In October of 2001, he took a position at Home Depot as Global Product Manager (Merchant) of Vanities, Medicine Cabinets, Mirrors, Vanity Tops and Bath Storage. In September 2006, Paul joined “Galleria Inc” (Decorative Bath and Accessories manufacturer) as VP of Sales and grew their business with The Home Depot from zero to $12M+. In August of 2008, Paul founded JP Marketing & Consulting. Paul received a Degree in Business and International Marketing from Dublin City University, Dublin Ireland in 1987.

Jim has been in the Home Improvement Industry for over 30 years prior to joining JP Marketing and Consulting. He was a Vice President and Officer of Lowes. Jim was the founder of the first Installed Sales program in the warehouse home center industry and provided leadership for the startup and the ongoing management of Installed Services programs for three big box home improvement chains. Efforts culminated in driving three billion dollars in sales revenue for Lowe's and the highest percent to sales in the industry. Prior to Lowe's, Jim was Senior Director of Specialty Sales for Builders Square and ran the Commercial, Installed, and Export Sales businesses which became a 325 million dollar business for the San Antonio Home Improvement chain. Jim has been recognized for pioneering and developing "industry best" specialty sales service programs. Jim studied economics at Chaffey College, Southern California.

Matt Maguire

Matt Maguire has been involved in the retail and home improvement industries for over 18 years, serving in various leadership roles within merchandising, strategy, planning and consulting. While at Lowe’s, Matt was a Merchandise Director for over 12 years where he had responsibility for leading teams in the Millwork Division and driving revenues of nearly $900M. He successfully gained over 10% market share to position Lowe’s as the leader in the home improvement industry for moulding. Matt also was selected as the merchandising representative to participate on a team that was responsible for developing the ‘store of the future.’ Additionally, Matt was one of a select team of senior merchants that participated on the Value Improvement Team. While in this role, he guided over 100 product line reviews – spanning Building Products, Home Décor, and Seasonal categories – to a successful conclusion. He mentored, advised, and held merchant teams accountable to achieve sales, margin, and inventory targets. As a Director in Business Planning and Strategy, Matt served as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, specifically in both the Marketing and Customer Experience organizations. He led these business units through the planning process to ensure that they developed clear and focused annual functional plans consistent with and built on the foundation of key strategic objectives.
